Kathmandu: A reporter of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Madhu Shahi, has been honoured with National Journalism Award against Human Trafficking.
At a prgramme organized by Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens here today on the occasion of 18th National Anti-Human Trafficking Day, Sub-Editor Shahi, correspondent of Nagarik Daily, Sabita Khadka, Madhya Nepal Sandesh Weekly of Parsa, Human trafficking survivor Pampha Khadka, Siddhartha municipality of Rupandehi, District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Awaj Organisation, Surkhet, Kin India, an Indian organization, were honoured.
On the occasion, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Nawal Kishor Sah Sudi, said the ministry was active to create public awareness against human trafficking.
