Kathmandu: The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front), comprising CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), and the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand, has emphasized the need for republicans to unite and move forward. The meeting of the Morcha, convened in Singha Durbar on Monday, assessed that the monarchy could not serve the interests of the country and its people, while royalists were attempting to exploit the public’s despair.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the meeting was attended by CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Netra Bikram Chand of the Communist Party of Nepal, among others. The Morcha announced plans to convene another meeting tomorrow, where leaders will express their views on the latest political activities.
During the meeting, Dahal, also a former Prime Minister, noted that reactionary forces were seeking opportunities to rise again due to the activities of the current government. Similarly, Nepal, also a former Prime Minister, stressed the importance of unity among republicans to protect the achievements gained from the enduring struggle of various political parties.
Additionally, Nepal Samajwadi Party (Naya Shakti)’s leader Ganga Narayan Shrestha revealed that the Morcha was preparing to launch a series of rigorous programs at a time when the country is facing significant challenges.
