Sarlahi: In the wake of the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election, a total of 5,817 new voters have registered in Sarlahi district, confirmed by the District Election Office. The District Election Officer Shiva Narayan Sah reported that this group of new voters comprises 3,390 men and 2,427 women.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the addition of these new voters brings the total number of registered voters in Sarlahi district to 495,821. However, Sah indicated that the final count of new voters could rise as details from the National Identity Card have yet to be approved. Approval of these details is expected in the coming days.
Additionally, 1,317 voters have submitted applications to correct their information, Sah noted. The voter registration process, which began on September 25, concluded on November 16. Citizens who turn 18 by March 4, 2026, are eligible to register for the voters’ name list.
