Schools in Pokhara to Reopen as Normalcy Returns


Pokhara: The schools in Pokhara that were closed due to the Gen Z protest demonstrations will open from September 17. A meeting of the Pokhara Metropolitan City Executive today decided to operate classes in all schools in the metropolis from September 17, said Hem Prasad Acharya, Director of the Metropolitan Education Section.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the life in the region is becoming normal. As per the decision of the District Security Committee taken after an assessment of the developments and the law and order situation in the district, the prohibitory orders and curfew imposed at various places of the Pokhara Metropolitan City have been lifted since 9.00 am today.



Public transport and the market in the city have opened with the lifting of the prohibitory order and curfew, it is stated.
