Science Fair Kicks Off in Panchagarh with Emphasis on Innovation


Panchagarh: The two-day 46th science fair, alongside the 9th science Olympiad and the 9th science quiz competition, commenced today, marking the National Science and Technology Week. With the theme “Gayan Biggayane Korbo Joy, Shera Hobo Bishwamoy” (We Will Win in Knowledge and Science, We Will Be the Best in the World), the event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Sabet Ali at the Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Parishad Hall.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fair has been organized by the District Administration under the supervision of the National Science and Technology Museum and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The event is presided over by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zakir Hossain, who led a discussion in the afternoon.



The meeting featured speeches from Deputy Commissioner Sabet Ali, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station S. M. Masud Parvez, and Coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Fazle Rabbi. The speakers emphasized the importance of leveraging innovative knowledge and information technology to advance scientific development. They encouraged students to develop technologies that benefit the nation and its environment.



Following the discussion, attendees visited various stalls set up for the National Science and Technology Week, showcasing exhibitions of student innovations. The event attracted participation from over 50 students representing 20 educational institutions.
