Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak said the government would form a separate bureau for carrying out investigation into the financial crimes in a more specialized way.
Briefly talking to journalists at the ministry in Singha Durbar today, Minister Lekhak said a separate bureau would be established for investigation with the rise in financial crimes lately.
On the occasion, he shared that the bill related to the Police Act would be tabled in the parliament after cabinet endorsement and the Armed Police Force Act would be finalized and sent to the Council of Ministers.
“We are preparing to finalize the draft of the bill related to the Police Act and send it to the Council of Ministers in consideration that some laws governing police institutions are old”, he shared, adding the apex court’s decision on the petitions by some police officers would be acceptable.
He clarified that the government submitted a vacate application since the apex court’s interim order did not match in principle.
Stating that the apex court
‘s order in the name of the government to include in the Act the provisions specified in the Regulation has not been so far implemented, Lekhak said he has put forward the task after assuming ministerial responsibility.
