Baglung: Six people were injured when a van carrying college students met with an accident near the Shivalaya Temple at Galkot municipality-5 in Baglung district this morning.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Area Police Office, Galkot reported that Sushmita BK, 18, Pramila BK, 18, Mohan Singh Sunar, 25, Jivan Khattri, 19, Amisha Chettri, 19, and Sunita Sapkota, 18, sustained injuries in the accident.
Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, Man Bahadur Karki, stated that the van, identified with the registration number Ga 1 Jha 743, was traveling from Harichaur to Hatiya when the incident occurred. The vehicle belonged to Galkot Multiple Campus.
The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Galkot Municipal Hospital. Police confirmed that the accident was caused by overspeeding.
