Speaker Aryal Advocates for Parliamentary Discussions Before Lawmaking

Ouagadougou:Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal emphasized that laws should ideally be drafted following discussions in parliament, whenever possible.

According to National News Agency RSS, Aryal acknowledged the government’s constitutional authority to introduce ordinances but stressed that enacting laws through parliamentary discussions is more appropriate. He noted that the issuance of an ordinance, as allowed by the Constitution, should be respected when necessary decisions are made by the state.

Aryal, speaking to journalists, asserted that parliamentary proceedings are prepared, highlighting that it is in the best interest of state bodies and citizens to formulate laws through broader discussions in the House. His comments come amid reports of the government’s plans to introduce ordinances on significant matters.
