Baglung: General Secretary of the CPN UML, Shankar Pokharel, has emphasized that political stability in the country can only be achieved through a stable government. UML is determined to lift the country out of the ongoing cycle of instability, he shared.
According to National News Agency Nepal, General Secretary Pokharel made these remarks while addressing a district-level interaction organized as part of the party’s campaign, which focuses on the ward level. He argued that frequent changes in alliances and governments are the primary causes of instability in the country.
Pokharel further explained that opportunism and bargaining have been significant contributors to governmental instability. He also stated that the current coalition government would not take responsibility for the previous wrongdoings of the Maoist Centre and others. The leader asserted that the trend of forming coalition governments for vested interests has come to an end.
Hira Bahadur KC, the district chairman of UML in Baglung, mentioned that the campaign for organizational consolidation would extend to the ward level following the completion of political orientation sessions.
