Dhaka: The police headquarters (PHQ) today warned that stern action would be taken against those persons who would be found involved in threatening others.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the PHQ stated, “If any anti-social element threatens any peace-loving citizen, strict legal action will be taken against them.” The statement highlighted that the PHQ has observed incidents where anti-social elements are issuing threats to individuals from various classes and professions across the country.
The statement further emphasized that, “Any kind of threat to any person is a crime under the law,” and advised that victims of such threats should immediately inform the nearest police station or contact the national emergency service at 999 for prompt police action.
“Bangladesh Police is committed to ensuring the safety and security of every citizen of the country and maintaining the law and order,” the statement concluded, reaffirming their dedication to public safety and legal compliance.
