Dhaka: BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed his wishes for the continued happiness, peace, and prosperity of the country, the nation, and all Muslims around the world, especially in Bangladesh, on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Barat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rahman emphasized the significance of Shab-e-Barat, a night in the month of Shaban known for its importance as a time of salvation or liberation. In a message released on the eve of Shab-e-Barat, which will be observed on Friday night in Bangladesh, he highlighted the immense importance of this night, occurring a fortnight before the holy month of Ramadan.
Rahman noted that the dignity and significance of this night are very high, as it is believed that on this night, Allah the Almighty determines the fate of human beings, considered the best of His creations. He explained that devotees seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah for their mistakes, errors, and deviations, hoping to gain closeness to Allah throughout the night. Rahman mentioned that Allah pays attention to devotees and forgives those who ask for forgiveness, as they pray to rid themselves of injustice, misdeeds, and impurity, seeking Allah’s mercy.
He further urged everyone to dedicate themselves to the greater well-being of humanity by avoiding violence, bloodshed, jealousy, and hatred.
