Purandaha: The Third Nepal Snake Festival is set to be held in Mithila Bihari Municipality-2, Purandaha of Dhanusha district.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Mithila Wildlife Trust and Save the Lives are jointly organizing the two-day event, which will occur on September 18-19. Dev Narayan Mandal, Chairperson of the Mithila Wildlife Trust, has shared insights into the festival’s objectives and activities.
The inaugural snake festival took place in Nawalparasi (West), followed by the second in Tilottama municipality of Rupandehi. Mandal emphasized that the primary aim of the festival is to raise public awareness about snakes. To achieve this, the festival will feature various programs, including an awareness drama about snakes, poetry recitations, documentary screenings, and musical performances.
Additionally, a ‘snake museum’ will be part of the festival, providing attendees with an educational experience about the diverse snake species.
