Kathmandu: The sixth edition of the Nepal-US Land Force Talk (LFT) commenced at the Nepal Army Headquarters in Bhadrakali. This event marks an ongoing collaboration between the Nepal Army and the US Army, which has been held annually since 2018.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the three-day program will focus on sharing experiences and fostering cooperation on key issues such as world peacekeeping, humanitarian support, and disaster resilience. The NA Directorate for Public Relations and Information provided insights into the objectives of the discussions.
During the event, Lieutenant General Scott A Winter, the Chief of the United States Army Pacific (USARPC) team, is scheduled to meet with Ashok Raj Sigdel, the Chief of Army Staffs, to further cement the ties between the two military forces.
The Nepal Army has actively engaged in bilateral and multilateral practices and competitions with various countries, including India, China, the UK, and Pakistan, aiming to enhance professional capacity. The NA emphasized that such programs are instrumental in strengthening military relations with armies of friendly nations.
