Three Killed in Palpa Bus Accident


Kathmandu: Three individuals lost their lives in a tragic bus accident at Pipal Bhanjyang of Rainadevi rural municipality-4 in the Palpa district. The accident occurred on Wednesday when the bus, bearing the registration number Lumbini Province 01-001 Ja 0091, was traveling from Amalabas to Mehaldhap.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the accident claimed the lives of the driver and two passengers. The victims have been identified as Kamal Rayamajhi, 34, the driver from Amalabas; Ram Bahadur Gaha, 41, from Chhahara-4; and Mukta Bahadur Budhathoki, 37, from Chhahara-1. Information Officer Kamal Pradhan at the District Police Office, Palpa, confirmed the identities.



The victims sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the District Hospital, Palpa, where they were pronounced dead by a doctor. The bus, which was carrying only the three individuals, reportedly plunged into a gorge.



An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway, as confirmed by the police.
