Gorkha: Tourists who were stranded in the Manaslu area of Gorkha were rescued. A total of 110 tourists have been rescued from the area today. The injured, sick, and tourists who could not reach their destination due to bad weather were rescued.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Acting Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral stated that the tourists were rescued using five helicopters, with 85 percent of them being foreign tourists. He mentioned that the rescue operation will be completed within a day or two.
Today, the rural municipality, Manaslu Conservation Area Project, Hotel Entrepreneur Sub-committee, and local youth collaborated to open the road, said Nima Dorje Lama, a tourism entrepreneur from Chumanubri Rural Municipality-1 Samdo. A total of 380 people have moved from Samdo to Dharamshala to cross the Larke Pass.
According to the statistics of the Manaslu Conservation Area Project, 6,414 tourists visited the Manaslu area this season.
