Barguna: A two-day medical camp, jointly initiated by the district administration and the civil surgeon’s office, commenced at the district Shilpakala Academy today. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shafiul Alam inaugurated the camp, with ‘Dhora’ president Dr. Azmeri Begum presiding over the event.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the inauguration was attended by notable figures including Plastic and Onco Surgeon Prof. Dr. Syed Shamsuddin Ahmed, additional deputy commissioner Animesh Biswas, acting civil surgeon Dr. Arunabh Chowdhury, Global Health director lieutenant colonel Akther Iqbal, BNP district unit leaders Fazlul Haque Master and Rezbul Kabir, and journalist Mushfiq Arif. These speakers highlighted the significance of the medical camp for the local community.
The camp is providing a range of healthcare services, featuring specialists in fields such as medicine, burn and plastic surgery, cancer, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, gastroenterology, and diabetes. This initiative aims to offer comprehensive medical support to the residents of Barguna.
Kuwait Probashi Hospital is contributing technical support, under the supervision of Exploration Global Health Care Limited, to ensure the smooth operation of the camp and the delivery of quality healthcare services to attendees.
