Chuadanga: Two motorcyclists were killed on the spot when their bike hit a roadside standing tractor at Bastapur of Damurhuda here last night. The deceased were identified as Nahid, 18, son of Aminul Islam, and Sweet, 25, son of Selim Uddin, both hailing from the same village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic incident occurred as the duo was returning home from Ragunathpur at approximately 11:30 pm on Saturday. The accident happened when the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tractor parked by the roadside, leading to their immediate deaths, confirmed Officer in Charge (OC) of Damurhuda Model police station, Humayun Kabir.
Police officials quickly arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies, and transported them to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. The bodies will be handed over to their respective family members following the completion of the autopsy.
