UML National Convention: Representatives Selected Nationwide


Kathmandu: Representatives have been selected for the 11th national convention of the CPN (UML) across the country on Saturday. Around 2,200 representatives were selected in a peaceful manner, the party said.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the CPN (UML) Publicity Department Chief, Rajendra Gautam, announced that the selection of representatives for the 11th national convention in all committees concluded today. Gautam emphasized that representatives were selected unanimously in most committees, although elections were necessary in some areas.



Gautam mentioned that they have directed the concerned committees to conclude the selection process through election where unanimous decisions could not be reached. Four representatives have been selected from each constituency. The UML has further instructed that the details of the selected representatives be sent to the party central office by December 1.



Meanwhile, the Press Chautari Nepal has also concluded the selection of its representatives for the UML’s 11th national convention. During a meeting held on Saturday, the organization unanimously selected former Chairpersons Rajendra Aryal and Ganesh Basnet, alongside current Chairperson Ganesh Pandey, as well as Pratima Silwal and Mina Bishwokarma.



Similarly, the Nepal Intellectual Council has unanimously selected Govinda Bahadur Shahi, Saroj Kumar Regmi, Padam Bahadur BK, Srijana Ghimire, and Dr. Tika Dhakal as their representatives. The CPN (UML) is scheduled to hold its 11th national convention from December 13-15 in Kathmandu.
