Dhaka: UNDP Resident Representative Stefan Liller announced today that the organization is actively supporting Bangladesh’s Election Commission in its efforts to conduct free and fair elections in the country. “We are supporting the Election Commission to conduct a free, fair election hopefully the best election in Bangladesh’s history,” Liller stated during a media briefing following a meeting with representatives from 18 countries at Nirbachan Bhaban.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the timeline for the upcoming polls is yet to be determined, as it is dependent on the interim government. Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah also attended the briefing, highlighting the collaborative efforts between international partners and Bangladesh to ensure transparent electoral processes.
