Unity Needed to Preserve Ancient Cultures, Deputy Speaker Rana Says


Jhapa: Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Indira Ranamagar, has emphasized the importance of unity in the preservation and promotion of ancient cultures. Speaking at a program organized by Newa: Deya Dabu in Jhapa, she highlighted the necessity of establishing museums to safeguard the identities, languages, customs, and cultures of ethnic communities.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Speaker Rana pointed out that every ethnic community possesses unique cultural elements that need to be preserved and passed on to future generations. She cited examples from China and European countries, which have successfully preserved their 3,000-year-old scripts, to advocate for collective efforts in safeguarding ancient civilizations and values.



She further stressed the importance of educating the new generation about social and religious norms and values, underscoring the need for collaboration in cultural preservation efforts.
