Kathmandu: US President Donald Trump has vowed to send Nepal “any help that they need” in the aftermath of the devastating Bhotekoshi flash floods that occurred on Wednesday. The NBC News reported that the President expressed his concern and readiness to assist during a conversation with Nepali officials. He acknowledged that many Americans are still missing and emphasized the United States’ commitment to provide support, stating, “We’ve called Nepal, and we’ve offered any help that they need.”
According to National News Agency Nepal, the US State Department announced on Thursday that it would provide $500,000 in assistance through its global award with Catholic Relief Services. This aid is intended to support emergency shelter, relief items, and water, sanitation, and hygiene assistance to communities affected by the floods. The US Embassy in Kathmandu confirmed this initiative as part of the ongoing efforts to help those impacted by the natural disaster.
