Kakadbhitta: Vegetables worth Rs 98.4 million were exported to India, Bangladesh, and America via the Kakadbhitta checkpoint in one year. The Plant Quarantine Office, Kakadbhitta, shared that 6,519 metric tonnes of vegetables, including cabbage, beans, and green chilies, were exported in the fiscal year 2025/26.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the country received Rs 94.7 million from exporting 6,201 metric tonnes of cabbage. Additionally, Rs 176,000 was generated from exporting green chilies, and Rs 117,000 was earned from exporting tomatoes to Bangladesh during the same period.
Furthermore, 260 metric tonnes of beans were exported to America, contributing Rs 599,000 to Nepal’s earnings.
