Kathmandu: Vice-Chairperson of Mahankal rural municipality, Dolma Maya Gole, has announced her decision to allocate her salary and allowance for social work initiatives.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Gole made this declaration through a message on International Women’s Day. She specified that her monthly salary and allowance will support senior citizens, disabled persons, women, farmers, teachers, youths, and health volunteers, among other community members.
Gole also mentioned that the vehicle at her disposal will be used to assist senior citizens, disabled individuals, and others in need who are visiting the municipality and ward offices. She emphasized that the vehicle service would particularly aid senior citizens struggling to visit banks for their allowances. The arrangement for vehicle service can be coordinated through the women and children section at the rural municipality office.
Gole expressed her willingness to provide this facility to senior citizens, highlighting her commitment to public service and social responsibility.
