Kathmandu: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has been designated to perform the works, duties, and responsibilities of the President in the absence of President Ramchandra Paudel.
According to National News Agency Nepal, President Paudel departed for Qatar this morning to attend the Second World Summit for Social Development, scheduled to be held in Doha from November 4-6.
The assignment of the Vice-President to perform the President’s functions follows the provisions outlined in Article 67 (2) of the Constitution. This information was confirmed by a press release issued by Pradip Kumar Koirala, Spokesperson at the Office of the President.
