Yadav Appointed Chief Minister of Madhesh Province


Kathmandu: Saroj Kumar Yadav has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Madhesh Province: Provincial Chief Sumitra Suvedi has appointed Yadav, the leader of the CPN (UML) Madhesh Province parliamentary party, as Chief Minister in accordance with Article 168, (3) of the Constitution on Sunday.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Yadav’s appointment follows the provisions laid out in the constitution that allow the Provincial Chief to appoint a Chief Minister. The decision was made under Article 168, (3), which grants the authority to appoint a leader from the provincial parliamentary party to this significant position.



This appointment marks a key moment in the political landscape of Madhesh Province, with Yadav taking on leadership responsibilities. The constitutional procedure ensures that the decision aligns with the legal frameworks governing the province.
