Kyiv: President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed the need for sustained European financial backing to support Ukraine’s ongoing battle against Russian forces for an estimated duration of two to three more years. In his recent statements, Zelensky highlighted the necessity of this support to ensure stability and continuity in Ukraine’s defensive efforts.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Zelensky conveyed this message to European leaders, emphasizing that Ukraine’s conflict will not stretch on for decades. He urged European nations to demonstrate their commitment by ensuring stable financial assistance during this critical period. Zelensky’s comments also referenced a European Commission proposal aimed at gradually unlocking frozen Russian assets to help fund Ukraine’s needs over the next few years.
