Chattogram: A total of 10 snatchers were arrested from the city’s Rahattarpool area under Chandgaon Thana last night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestees are Osman Gani, 25, Md. Delwar Hossain, 25, Md. Arman, 31, Md. Ibrahim, 29, Md. Raju, 29, Bijoy Barua, 23, Md. Azgar Ali, 21, Md. Imran Hossain Bappi, 21, Md. Suman, 28, and Md. Kabir, 42. All of them are residents of different areas in the city.
Aftaf Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Thana police, stated that police recovered seven knives and two sharp weapons from their possession. Police reported they arrested the snatchers while they were preparing for a snatching attempt in the Chandgaon bus station area around 9 pm last night.
A case has been filed against them in this connection.
