Dhaka: The joint forces arrested 492 more people as part of the nationwide crackdown on criminals ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ in the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a short message from the Police Headquarters revealed that a total of 1752 persons were arrested from different parts of the country. Among them, 1260 individuals faced charges for various other criminal activities.
During the ongoing operation, authorities seized two pipe guns, six rounds of cartridges, and two machetes. These confiscations highlight the operation’s focus on disarming and detaining individuals who pose a threat to public safety.
With the latest arrests under ‘Operation Devil Hunt,’ the total number of individuals apprehended has reached 6849 over the 13 days since the crackdown began. This operation aims to target those suspected of attempting to destabilize the country.
