16 Middlemen Held from District Land Revenue Office in Chitwan


Chitwan: The District Police Office, Chitwan, on Thursday held 20 people including 16 intermediaries for causing deterrence to service recipients and disrupting service delivery in the District Land Revenue Office, Chitwan.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Chitwan, Rabindra Khanal, confirmed that the middlemen were arrested from the District Land Revenue Office for creating obstructions to the service seekers in the office premises.



Likewise, four drivers and helpers were taken under control for causing trouble to the passengers in front of the Bharatpur Hospital.



DSP Khanal added that all middlemen taken under control are being investigated.



According to the police, such a move was taken to reduce the influence of middlemen in public offices and to ensure a decent public service.
