Kathmandu: A total of 27 people from Banke district working in Rasuwa and Nuwakot are missing after the Bhotekoshi flash floods occurred on Wednesday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Banke, Mahesh Kumar Gurung, stated that the families of those missing individuals have urged the administration to facilitate the search and rescue operations. It is reported that 14 men and 13 women from the district are out of contact following the disaster.
Out of the total 27 individuals working in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts, twenty are permanent residents of Banke, five are immigrant workers, and two are Indian nationals. The sudden flash floods have caused significant distress among the affected families, prompting a call for immediate action from local authorities.
