– The Polar Ice Cream 28th National School Handball (Boys and Girls) Tournament will begin here tomorrow (Tuesday) in the city, said a press release.
Dhaka Ice Cream Limited chief executive officer Shah Masud Imam will formally inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Handball Federation’s general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor will preside over the opening ceremony.
Twenty four teams, split into eight groups, will compete in the boys’ section while 19 teams, divided in six groups, will take part in the girls’ section.
The week-long meet will be held at two city venues —Shaheed Captain (retd.) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium and Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex.
