Jhapa: A 4-year-old girl tragically drowned in the Sano Maikhola stream in the district on Sunday. The young victim, the daughter of Man Bahadur Darji, was found lifeless in the stream at Jhanti of Jhapa rural municipality-3.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, confirmed the incident. The girl had been missing since Sunday, leading to a search effort that culminated in the discovery of her body in the small river near her home.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The girl’s body has been sent to Mechi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
