Two Fugitives Arrested Following Gen-Z Protests in Nepal


Kathmandu: Police have arrested two US citizens who escaped from prison during the recent Gen-Z protests that took place on September 8 and 9 across the country. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police today arrested Michael Norman Taylor, who is serving a sentence in Kaski Prison for child sexual abuse, and Jason Lloyd Sudi, who has been sentenced to jail in Kathmandu for rape.



According to National News Agency Nepal, CIB Joint Spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharmaraj Bhandari, shared that both fugitives escaped during the Gen-Z protests and were arrested by a team of the bureau today from Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. They have been handed over to the respective prisons.
