Bhimphedi: Out of the total inmates escaped during the Gen-Z protest on September 9, 68 have returned to Bhimphedi jail of Makwanpur. They returned at their own will-without any pressure and intimidation.
According to National News Agency Nepal, by Monday morning, 259 inmates had returned to the regional jail at Bhimphedi, Makwanpur. Out of the total 440 escaped prisoners, 198 arrived back, as reported by Subash Paudel, chief administrator at the jail. Although 68 returned on their own, others were arrested and brought back to internment.
The prisoners caused damage to the gates and walls of both blocs, with 260 fleeing from bloc A and 180 from bloc B. Police continue the search for the other escaped individuals, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shyamu Aryal.
