Tulsipur: Seventy-one prisoners who escaped from the Tulsipur Prison have been arrested. The jail chief, Gir Bahadur Sejuwal, informed that out of the 253 prisoners who escaped during the Gen Z protest, 71 have been recaptured. He said that some contacted on their own, while others were arrested by security personnel.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the jailbreak occurred when 253 male prisoners managed to escape after vandalizing the jail building. At the time of the escape, Tulsipur Prison housed 469 prisoners, leaving only the female prisoners behind in the facility.
Meanwhile, daily life in Dang district is returning to normalcy. Since this morning, public transportation has started operating, and there has been an increase in market activities as well. Despite these signs of recovery, the local administration has issued a curfew order in the district.
