Kathmandu: The low pressure trough of the monsoon is currently situated around its average position, leading to predictions of heavy rainfall in specific regions. The weather across the country is expected to remain generally cloudy this afternoon.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasted moderate rain in several areas of the hilly regions, as well as in a few places in the Terai region. The hills of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are likely to experience heavy rainfall in one or two locations.
As the evening approaches, the weather is projected to remain mostly cloudy nationwide. The division has also indicated the likelihood of moderate rain in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Additionally, sporadic showers are expected in the remaining hilly and Terai regions.
Furthermore, there is a potential for heavy rain in isolated areas within the hilly regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
