78,000 Foreign Tourists Visit Nepal During September


Kathmandu: As many as 78,000 foreign tourists entered Nepal during last September.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) unveiled data showing a total of 78,711 tourists visited Nepal in the reporting period.



Inflow of tourists during the tourism season has shrunk according to the data. The number of tourist arrivals has decreased by 18.3 percent compared to September last year, when 96,302 tourists visited Nepal.



The NTB’s data indicates that tourist arrivals included 15,556 from India, 5,237 from China, 9,679 from the United States, 3,015 from Sri Lanka, and 2,230 from Bangladesh, among others.



In the previous month of August, there was an influx of 88,680 tourists.
