Bhaktapur: Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed that the current government, led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, is functioning effectively, with a positive performance over the last 100 days.
According to National News Agency Nepal, President Deuba made these remarks during a program organized by the NC District Working Committee Bhaktapur to exchange festival greetings on Saturday. During the event, Deuba also released the ‘Jay Nepal Bhaktapur Souvenir’.
Deuba stated, “The coalition government led by UML Chair KP Oli is working all right. PM Oli has done well. I believe he will continue doing well in future.” He further mentioned that he has been advising PM Oli on various governmental tasks, emphasizing that criticism from opposition parties is a normal occurrence worldwide and should not be taken negatively.
Additionally, Deuba shared that he is fully cooperating with the government to address any challenges it faces. He suggested that criticisms from th
e opposition should be used constructively to enhance the government’s efficiency. The NC Chief also mentioned that the party’s members are pleased with the coalition government and are committed to making it more successful in accordance with the coalition agreement.
During the occasion, NC leader and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Pande, highlighted that the NC is both cooperating and competing with UML. The event was also addressed by central member Bal Bahadur KC, federal lawmaker Durlav Thapa, and leader Indra Baniya, among others.
