Parsa: Parsa District Court has issued an arrest warrant against 14 people, including Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, to investigate savings embezzlement at Sano Paila Cooperatives Limited. The court has authorized the District Police Office, Parsa, to proceed with the investigation by arresting Lamichhane and other individuals involved, including the then Vice-Chairperson of Gorkha Media, Chhabi Lal Joshi.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Parsa, Kishor Lamsal, confirmed the court’s decision to allow an investigation into the embezzlement case. Lamsal stated, “Parsa District Court has given permission to investigate into savings embezzlement of Sano Paila Cooperative.” He further mentioned that the necessary investigation will be carried out by arresting the individuals as per the legal procedures.
The investigation process involves recording the statement of Chair Lamichhane, which i
s underway in various districts. Arrest warrants against him have also been issued by Kaski, Rupandehi, Kathmandu, and Chitwan District Courts, indicating a multi-district effort to address the allegations of embezzlement.
