Nepal to Reap Benefits from BRI: PM.


Beijing: Visiting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that Nepal is poised to reap significant benefits from the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). In his address at a program held at Peking University, PM Oli highlighted the strong support provided by China towards Nepal’s development. He emphasized that the BRI project, initiated under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, is set to further deepen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli mentioned that as Nepal and China anticipate the 70th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2025, there would be an exchange of high-level visits between the two nations. This, he noted, would add a new dimension to their bilateral relations. The Prime Minister also expressed his belief that an esteemed institution like Peking University could contribute significantly to the educational development of Nepal.

During the event, PM Oli was warmly received by University Chair Prof Gong Qihuang. Othe
r members of the prime minister-led delegation were also present to mark the occasion. Furthermore, PM Oli is scheduled to address the Nepal China Business Forum later today.
