Chattogram: Three people lost their lives in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway during the early hours today. The victims were traveling on a motorcycle when they were struck by an unidentified car around 3:30 am at Sufia Rastar Matha in the Mirsarai upazila of Chattogram.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased have been identified as Rubel Barua, 40, Suny Barua, 40, and Nipu Barua, 38. All three were residents of Domdoma Barua Para area under Mayani Union in the Mirsarai upazila. They were returning home from a marriage ceremony when the accident occurred.
Biplob Barua, the elder brother of Rubel Barua, confirmed that the collision left the three friends dead on the spot. Sub-Inspector Borhan Uddin from Jobarganj Highway Thana stated that the bodies have been handed over to their respective families.
