Bogura: Joint Secretary of Youth and Sports Ministry Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Zobayed Hossain visited Bogura district Swimming Pool and Shaheed Chandu Stadium on Saturday. During the visit, he explored different parts of the stadium and the swimming pool.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Zobayed Hossain addressed the press, highlighting the deteriorated state of the gallery and other sections of the stadium due to prolonged neglect and lack of renovation. He noted that the swimming pool was in a similar condition. He promised to inform the relevant authorities within the ministry to take necessary actions for the renovation of these two establishments.
Present during the visit were Deputy Director of Youth Development Department, Bogura, and member secretary of the convening committee of the district sports association Tochaddek Hossain; Additional Deputy Commissioner (overall, current duty) Imrul Kayes; District Sports Officer Alamgir Hossain; and members of the convening committee of the District Sports Association Khawaja Abu Hayat Hiru, Mustafa Mughal, Khaled Mahmud Rubel, and Hasan Mollah. Shaheed Chandu Stadium Venue Manager Jamilur Rahman Jamil was also in attendance.
Earlier in the day, the joint secretary inaugurated a sports competition organized by the District Sports Office, which featured participation from children with special needs.
