Dhaka: The Youth Festival 2025 National Youth Chess Championships is poised to begin on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall. The event will showcase competitors from various age groups, including Under-8 to Under-18 categories, both in Open and Girls sections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the championship is organized by the Bangladesh Chess Federation and will feature selected players from all divisions. These include the top three winners from the previous Youth Chess Championship, along with other promising talents.
Participants interested in competing within these categories must submit an entry fee of Taka 300, provide proof of age, and present a letter from their respective division. The registration deadline is set for Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 8:00 PM, at the Bangladesh Chess Federation office.
Additionally, players not meeting the specified categories can still participate by paying an entry fee of Taka 1,000 and submitting an age certificate at the Bangladesh Chess Federation office before the registration deadline.
The tournament will employ a 7-round Swiss-league format, extending over a span of 5 days. The Bangladesh Chess Federation anticipates a robust competition and extends best wishes to all participants in their pursuit of victory.
