Two Killed in Pabna Road Accident


Pabna: Two CNG passengers were killed and two others injured after a brick-laden trolley hit a CNG auto-rickshaw at Mohishkola on the Dhaka-Pabna highway this morning. The deceased were identified as M Mamun Hossen, 32, son of late Badsha of Pukpara in Sherpur upazila under Bogura district, and Nanita Rani, 45, wife of Prashanton Mistri of Charkandi in Aminpur upazila of Pabna district.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saidur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Sathia police station, stated that the CNG-run auto-rickshaw was heading towards Bera after picking up passengers from Kashinathpur in Pabna. The accident occurred when the brick-laden trolley rammed the auto-rickshaw from behind at Mohiskola, resulting in the instantaneous death of the two passengers.



The identities of the injured individuals remain unknown. They were transferred to Bera upazila Health Complex in critical condition. The bodies of the deceased were sent for autopsy.



The trolley driver and the helper managed to flee the scene, and no arrests have been made, added the Officer-in-Charge.
