Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted that weather may remain dry across the country, but with chances of light rain in some places for the next 24 hours beginning this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the weather may remain mainly dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky over the country. There are chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur and Sylhet divisions, as per the forecast starting from 9 am today.
The ridge of the sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay. These conditions are likely to influence the weather patterns in Bangladesh, leading to the forecast of rain in specific regions.
Additionally, moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from late night to morning. The night temperature is expected to rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged.
The maximum temperature recorded in the country on Monday was 31.3 degrees Celsius at Teknaf, and the minimum temperature today was 11.3 degrees Celsius at Tetulia. The sun is expected to set at 5:51 pm today and rise at 6:34 am in the capital.
