Tremor Shakes Myagdi with Epicenter in Mudi


Kathmandu: An earthquake occurred in Mudi, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4, Myagdi, on Saturday morning. The earthquake, with Mudi as its epicenter, occurred at 3:14 am and was measured to be 4 on the Richter Scale, according to the Seismological Measurement Centre.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the tremors were felt in Mudi, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality, as well as in Muna, Takam, Marang, Malkabang, Darbang, Devisthan, and surrounding areas in western Myagdi. Yama Bahadur Gharti, the ward chair of Mudi, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4, stated that many people came out of their homes after feeling the tremors. No reports of human or material damage have been received so far.
