CPN (Unified Socialist) Demands Investigation into Violent Incident by Former King’s Supporters


Kathmandu: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has called on the government to investigate the violent activities perpetrated by supporters of the former King and take necessary action against those responsible. Speaking to journalists at the Aloknagar-based party central office, Chair Nepal emphasized the urgency of probing criminal activities, including vandalism and arson, targeting physical structures in various locations. He urged authorities to address these unconstitutional, illegal, and anti-system actions promptly.



According to National News Agency Nepal, senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal condemned the incident as non-political and destabilizing to the country’s law and order. He highlighted the importance of the government taking the country’s evolving situation seriously and reinforcing the safeguarding of citizens’ lives, peace, and security.



Leader Rajendra Pandey also urged all pro-change patriotic and revolutionary forces to unite and ensure those involved in the incident are swiftly brought to justice. Leaders from several political parties, including the Home Minister, visited the CPN (Unified Socialist) central office to assess the damage inflicted by the royalist supporters on Friday.
