Kathmandu: Leaders of the Socialist Front have inspected the central office of the CPN (Unified Socialist) following a vandalism incident. The top leaders visited the Aloknagar-based office to assess the damage inflicted by a group of ex-king supporters during an attack on Friday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, prominent figures including CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal, General-Secretary of Nepal Communist Party Netra Bikram Chand, and Chairperson of Nepal Samajbadi Party Mahindra Raya Yadav were present to evaluate the situation. Chairperson Nepal emphasized the need for government intervention to investigate and take action against those responsible for the violence, condemned as the act of a retrogressive force.
The attack resulted in significant damage, with windowpanes shattered and furniture and important documents destroyed by fire. The incident highlights tensions between political factions and the challenges faced by the Unified Socialist Party in safeguarding its premises and operations.
