Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has designated Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh to oversee the daily administrative affairs of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in the absence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister has embarked on an official visit to Thailand from April 1 to April 5, following an invitation from his Thai counterpart, Paetongtarn Shinawatra. During his visit, he is scheduled to attend the Sixth Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral, Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) on April 4, where he will also deliver an address.
On the recommendation of the Prime Minister, President Paudel assigned Deputy Prime Minister Singh to take charge of the daily administrative affairs. This decision was made in accordance with the Constitution, as stated by the Office of the President.
