Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has pledged his party’s full support for the expansion of the services of BP Memorial Community Hospital. Addressing the 17th annual general meeting of the hospital here today, he said efforts would be made to establish hospitals in other places in the name of popular leader late BP Koirala.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deuba emphasized the importance of proper utilization of funds from shareholders and the general public for the hospital, which was established as a community facility. He also commended BP Memorial Hospital for its contributions to the country’s health sector.
During the same event, NC leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala highlighted the urgency of amending the constitution, warning that delays could lead to increased public unrest. He urged the party leadership to address these issues promptly to avoid complications in power-sharing arrangements with CPN (UML).
Umesh Jung Rayamajhi, Chairperson of the hospital’s Board of Directors, announced plans to expand BP Memorial Hospital’s services to all seven provinces, aligning with the hospital’s vision for broader accessibility.
